About the destination:

Sun Valley Resort, founded on part European flair and part American ingenuity, is located in the mountains of Idaho. Home to some of the world’s best terrain, Sun Valley Resort has options aplenty from rough and rugged backcountry to wide open groomers, to a variety of glades. With some of the highest per person uphill lift capacity, there are virtually no lift lines. Sun Valley offers two mountains, Bald Mountain (steeps and chutes) and Dollar Mountain (more moderate terrain for developmental skiers and riders). Vitamin D here is plentiful and free. So pack your sunscreen and grab your sunglasses as you head out to ski/ride the mountains of Sun Valley. Sun Valley has 13 known natural hot springs in the area, and many people know secret spots as well. These natural hot tubs give visitors an easy way to warm up.
Ketchum, the small town one mile to the south of Sun Valley, sits at the foot of Bald Mountain, the region's biggest ski mountain, Today, numerous galleries fill the charming western facades of this old mining center. Sun Valley’s shopping options mix a little bit of Main Street, USA, with a hearty dose of classic mountain town, topped off with a touch of European style. It wouldn't be totally surprising to see a celebrity or two. Over the years, Sun Valley has been a second home to the rich and famous, among them Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, and several members of the Kennedy family. More recently, Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, Demi Moore, Clint Eastwood, Bill Gates Justin Timberlake, and Mark Zuckerberg have all been associated with the area.
